QI GONG (aka Medical Tai Chi) is Real Health Care
Dr. Mehmet Oz on Oprah called qigong "the secret to anti-aging." It's the "miracle exercise" for people seeking to avoid drugs, surgery, and expensive doctor bills. Medical Tai Chi, known in China as Qigong, may eventually replace health insurance for many Americans. Qigong ('chee gong', or chi kung) is growing in popularity in the USA as a low-cost, self-care health system. Medical Qigong looks similar to martial Tai Chi, but its slow movements are medically designed to boost the immune system and open acupuncture "chi" channels - without using needles. Qigong is self-applied Chinese medicine, used to heal chronic illness for over 2500 years.

"Medical Qigong is the mother of Tai Chi, but simpler to learn," says Michael Winn, National Qigong Association ex-president. "It's the intelligent man's way to exercise. Qigong is relaxing. Paradoxically, the less effort you make, the more powerful the healing energy it generates.
Dr. Brian Lewis, an integrative medicine expert, notes: "Studies in the United States and in other countries have shown numerous benefits from Qi Gong. If 200 million Chinese rely upon medical qigong for good health - why can't Americans?"

Didn't Cha Know: Black Youth Invents Surgical Technique - at 14

THIS IS TRULY INSPIRATION TO ME! THIS IS WHY I DO WHAT I DO! Read about this gifted young man who is revolutionizing the medical work. He's 14. He's black! No color is not everything, but when you have some many of my young brothers getting a bad rep. I love to show them that they too can change. This is for the brother or sister who might not believe in the power of change!

Tony Hansberry II isn’t waiting to finish medical school to contribute to improved medical care. He has already developed a stitching technique that can be used to reduce surgical complications, as well as the chance of error among less experienced surgeons.

"I've always had a passion for medicine," he said in a recent interview. "The project I did was, basically, the comparison of novel laparoscopic instruments in doing a hysterectomy repair.”

By the way, Hansberry is a 14-year-old high school freshman.

In April, the brilliant teen presented his findings at a medical conference at the University of Florida before an audience of doctors and board-certified surgeons.

Hansberry attends Darnell-Cookman, a special medical magnet school that allows him to take advanced classes in medicine. Students at the school master suturing in eighth grade.

Monday Morning Story! - DO IT FOR YOU!!

This is Monday's story!

As I sit and ponder what to write this day, I'm having a hard time focusing!  I have all kinds of thoughts running in my head about the work that I have to do.  Send those emails, call that client, follow up with the bill, do this, do that, WRITE the Monday morning story...lol!  So I turn on my inspiration and I get the message!  DO IT FOR YOU!  Everything you do, do it for you.  Now that may sound selfish to most, but if you have a greater understanding of the power in love then you understand that when you love yourself, you are able to love everyone else.  Whatever you do, do it cause it brings you joy.  Start living from the inside out!!  Your divine purpose is what you should be focused on! When you focus on that purpose, everything you do is for you to fulfill that purpose! It making writing this blog post meaningful, it making getting up in the morning meaningful, it makes giving back to my community meaningful, it makes Can We Talk! Radio meaningful to me! I do it cause it makes ME happy! So here is the story!

There was a young lady, who's purpose was shown to her at a very young age. Her purpose was to be an educator.  Not in the traditional sense of school teaching but more of an educator of Life!  Forced at a young age to be a teacher to her siblings and her friends, she rebelled against the purpose as she got older.  She saw her purpose as a burden instead of a gift.  She felt that people depended on her for information and guidence and that she had no one to turn to for the same. As she progressed through life, ignoring her purpose, she started to have problems that resulted in her losing herself. She had lost control of herself because she so desperately wanted to lean on others. She wanted to have others help her solve her problems like she had helped so many before. She wanted others to do for her, what she had done for them. It wasn't until she was left all alone that she understood that she had all that she needed!  When her best friends couldn't be reached and turned their back at her, when the man she loved couldn't give her his heart to lean on, when her family continued to take more than they gave, she realized she had to do it for HERSELF!!  She had to be her own teacher!! She WAS her own teacher. She had to learn how to love herself all over again.  She started reading and writing, filling herself with the natural gift that GOD had given her. As she grew she shared, not to have people listen but to help her bring out her divine purpose. What she noticed was amazing!! Once she started to do things for herself, she was actually helping others. Not those who she thought were her friends but complete strangers.  She now understands that GOD gave her a gift to teach and thats what she loves to do. Teach love and positivity.  Guess who her most studious student is?  That's right, HERSELF!!

So the moral of this story is always do it for you! You never know how you may be helping someone else out by following the desires in your heart.  GOD places something in all of us that is unique and as long as you are following someone else agenda it will never be fulfilled!

Didn't Cha Know...Elaine's Story

Today's GOOD news is about a little girl who just wanted to have a pretty smile!  This just goes to show how meaningful a smile can be. So don't forget to always share your smile, you never know who may be watching!   :o) ENJOY!!

From Hurtful Nicknames to New Smile: Elaine’s Story

Rio de Janerio, Brazil –Elaine is a quiet and shy 10 year-old- girl from Itaborai, a town three hours from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Elaine was born with a cleft lip.

Since she was two years old, she and her father have made the trip to the cleft service center in Rio de Janerio on four different occasions, but unfortunately she was never selected for surgery. Many times the line was too long, and during one visit Elaine was sick. On their previous trip they discovered the hospital was undergoing renovations. With every visit the wait at the hospital was long, and her hopes for receiving care began to fade. Elaine always asked her mom, why she wasn't able to get surgery. She wanted to be like the other girls. She dreamed of wearing lipstick when she was older. The kids in her town taunted her, calling her all kinds of terrible names like "hole mouth.”

When Elaine’s godmother heard Operation Smile was going to conduct a medical mission in Rio de Janeiro, she tried to talk Elaine’s parents into bringing her to Rio, but they could not afford to make a fifth trip to the city. Moreover, her mother was nine months pregnant. Elaine’s godmother then offered to bring Elaine to Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho, were the mission was taking place.

This time, the trip was worth it. Elaine was selected for surgery and she now has a new smile! She is in the fourth grade, and when she grows up she wants to be a nutritionist.
